In a way, I am sad to note Sir Keir Starmer's resignation as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I would be fully prepared to accept that he meant well, but the way he went about matters eventually left him with no other option.
After the Conservatives kept changing their leaders, there was hope that Labour would be a stable breath of fresh air. It turned into the same stale guff, so voters turned to Reform UK out of sheer exasperation in last month's local elections.
Andy Burnham was elected on a 55% share of the vote in the Makerfield by-election last week - so he is now carrying the hope of the nation. He is likely to be elected leader of the Labour Party so, I can only say: Actions speak louder than words.
