 In our winter season, we get gales on a regular basis. Some stand out, such as the one that occurred on 11th November 2005. November 11th is the nameday for St Martin, which is why I named that gale the St Martin's Storm. A ferry nearly sank in the Minch, after it mistimed its departure from Ullapool.
